Wotlk BS Bop Items, Wut???

Okay... this will not be a rant. I have to keep telling myself that.

In the PTR's MMO-Champion is reporting that there's a new Bop Blacksmithing sword. Two of them in fact. Titansteel Deflector and Titansteel Defender. Check out the link to see the stats.

This will not be a rant.

I thought Blizzard's platform was that they were not going to allow powerful Bop items from professions. Something about doing the tradeskill that's fun, and not the one that you have to to be the best.

This will not be a rant.

Where's the freakin' Bop items for Leatherworking and Tailoring? Engineering has had their best head piece reign for awhile now. And then there's the hawt JC only gems. And wasn't Inscription supposed to get a 4th major glyph?

Yep, it turned into a rant. Well, finish the professions already. They so don't feel done.

The Engineering Helm is not best in slot for just about anybody this time around. It's replaced in Naxx10, Naxx10!

This was a rant. Don't take anything as fact here. :)

That said though, it IS a Bop item that requires engineering (obviously), so it limits it to engineers only. The tailoring Bop's of TBC weren't the best in game, but were also kind of a starter into Karazhan. So, tailoring is still (in my opinion) one of the worst professions at the moment. Oh, I'm not giving it up... I'm still optimistic that it will one day return to something of value. (And don't even get started on the weak-sauce cloak threads.)

Blacksmithing is the hardest profession in the game hands down. Plus most of the time, the stuff it makes is easily replaced or outright worthless, other than one or two weapons for the weaponsmiths and one piece of armor for the armorsmiths.

So... because it's the hardest they deserve a Bop item? Is that what you're saying. You kind of lost me here. The point is, there's a reason to be a Blacksmith. Because of a Bop item... there's a reason. And sure, things will almost always be replaced eventually, but still... there's not a gear reason to be leatherworker or tailor at this point.

IMO enchanting is pretty bad atm, it's a major PITA to level, i've seen lots of ppl on my server spamming in trade up to 30G per level, it got so bad that noobs were getting convinced that they were supposed to get paid for having ANYTHING crafted...

and what do we get for leveling enchanting? ring enchants ffs... im going to be seriously annoyed with blizz unless some new recipes are released soon, the stats given by ring enchants are about the worst proffesion bonus i've seen in wrath... and don't get me started on materials, enchanting is the only proffession where you can't go out and farm mats to level with...
